CISS To Hold Workshop on Federal and Foundation Grants (May 1, 2024)
Applying for federal and foundation grants is key to launching a major research project. The first steps are identifying a funding agency, framing a proposal so that it speaks to the funding agency’s mission, and developing a compelling narrative. At this expert-led workshop, Jennifer Grodsky, BU’s Vice President for Federal Relations, and Cecilia Lalama, BU’s Associate Director of Foundation Relations, will provide insights for new and seasoned researchers seeing external funding for their work. The session will be moderated by Deborah Carr (CAS/Sociology and CISS Director). CISS grant administrator Chris Chiofolo will be available to answer questions about the mechanics of submitting a grant proposal at BU/CISS.
The workshop will be held Wednesday May 1 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the CISS conference room 5th floor, 704 Commonwealth Ave).
