Politics of Global Health Workshop Announces Spring ’24 Speaker Schedule

The Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future is pleased to announce the Spring 2024 schedule of speakers in the Global Health Politics Workshop series. The monthly speaker series, organized by Sociology professor and CISS affiliate Joseph Harris, brings together leading social scientists from the disciplines of anthropology, political science, and sociology to advance the understanding of health phenomena in a globally interconnected world.

The first speaker of the Spring 2024 semester is University of Pennsylvania Professor Julia Lynch, who will discuss “Health Equity and Political Economy” on January 25 from 4-530pm at the Pardee Center (67 Bay State Rd) or  by Zoom.  Dr. Lynch is the author of Regimes of Inequality, Ageing and Health, and  Age in the Welfare State.
