NASEM Releases New Interactive Resource on Structural Racism and Rigorous Models of Social Inequity
In order to develop a research agenda for better understanding and addressing structural racism, it is important to consider historical and contemporary policies and other structural factors that affect the health and well-being of individuals, families, and communities. Strategies for measuring these structural factors are key to enhancing our understanding as well.
A new interactive resource from the Committee on Population offers key takeaways from the May 2022 workshop for developing an agenda for future research on structural racism and strengthening the evidence base for policies that would help alleviate health inequities.
