Anchored in CDS, BU Spark! serves as a technology incubator and as an engine that develops and propels experiential learning programs and interdisciplinary computational and data-driven projects at BU. BU Spark! currently engages hundreds of students annually in a variety of ways, including the Spark! Innovation Fellowship and the Spark! eXperience Lab (X-Lab). BU Spark! is set to extend its model in support of CDS Impact Labs and co-Labs, which are organized around focused themes that bring together faculty, students, and external partners to pursue research, experiential learning and innovation activities in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment with computing and data sciences at the core.
