CDS Faculty Fellow Michael Chang Named Margaret McGuire Earl Career Development Professor

Michael Chang, Faculty Fellow at Boston University Faculty of Computing & Data Sciences, has been awarded the Margaret McGuire Earl Career Development Professor at Boston University’s Wheelock College of Education & Human Development.
Reflecting on the appointment’s significance, he said, "I am excited that this award will, for the next few years, allow me to continue building relationships across BU Wheelock, BU Computing & Data Sciences, and Boston Public Schools to collaboratively imagine ethical and relational possibilities for AI and learning."
Looking ahead, Chang expresses interest in collaborating with interdisciplinary teams of BU undergraduates across Wheelock and CDS that are teaching and jointly designing AI-based digital tools for and with high school students in Boston Public Schools, drawing from artistic sensibilities from the arts and humanities.
