The article, “A metabolic modeling platform for the computation of microbial ecosystems in time and space (COMETS)” demonstrates how a genomic-scale modeling system has become a useful tool for modeling cellular and physiology and growth. Segré describes how the computation of microbial ecosystems in time and space (COMETS) can accurately determine a biophysical model of microbial growth, evolutionary dynamics, and enzyme activity.
