Priyanka Shah

I am currently an undergraduate at Boston University majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Special Education. In high school, I had the opportunity to work closely with a first-grader with autism through a community service program. Since then, I have worked with children with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities by assisting researchers, therapists, teachers, and families. I am interested in exploring the neural mechanisms behind language development and alternative forms of communication (such as sign language or gestures). I am excited to continue building on my experiences here at CARE, where I am involved with the Infant-Sibling Project.
