Emily Browne in the News!

Emily Browne, one of our participants in the ACE Brain Systems for Language study, is in the news! The BSL study aims to understand the range of language abilities and the brain systems that may contribute why people with Autism Spectrum Disorders have difficulties communicating with spoken language. Emily is one of our minimally verbal participants who, in addition to participating in the BSL study, was shadowed by reporter Chris Berdik, photographer Jackie Riccardi, and videographer Davin Hahn . The Autism Science Foundation is a not-for-profit organization the provides funding for autism research. Karen received a research enhancement grant for her work investigating markers of early speech development in children at-risk for autism.
