Dr. Tager-Flusberg recently met with the President of Boston University's Student Volunteers for Special Needs (SVSN) chapter. One of SVSN's activities is to host an event called Friday Night Club. Friday Night Club is a made up of a group of SVSN members and other individuals from the BU community. The purpose of Friday Night Club is to provide opportunities for teenagers and young adults with special needs to socialize with typically developing peers and college students. Friday Night Clubs are a chance to do what any individual enjoys doing on a Friday night - have fun! Boston University, MIT, and Harvard take turns hosting these events which take place on three Fridays of every month. The FNC’s at BU typically run from 7-9pm at the George Sherman Union Academy Room (775 Commonwealth Ave., Boston, MA 02215). The next FNC at BU is St. Patrick’s Day themed and will be held this Friday, March 18th 7-9pm at the GSU Academy Room!

You can learn more about BU's SVSN chapter on their Facebook page.

If you are interested in attending, getting involved in SVSN, or learning more about their activities, you can contact BU Student Volunteers for Special Needs at svsn@bu.edu.
