Jon Schaffrath

Jon Schaffrath (AR 723 – Individual Fundraising) has worked in nonprofit fundraising at Harvard Business School since 2006, serving in development roles of increasing responsibility and, since 2021, as Senior Director of Development Strategic Initiatives. He advances strategic fundraising priorities and leads innovative alumni engagement efforts, specifically focused on the entrepreneur community.

Jon has also taught fundraising for more than a decade. He served as a Teaching Assistant and Instructor at the Harvard Extension School and later as an Instructor and Program Director for Boston University’s Certificate in Professional Fundraising program until its conclusion in 2026.

In addition to having his CFRE, Jon holds degrees from Boston College and Babson College and is an EdD candidate at Northeastern University. Jon is a member of the Board of Trustees of Wellan Montessori School in Newton, MA.
