The Arts Administration program is proud to welcome Leah Triplett Harrington as a guest speaker in the Writing for the Arts class. Ms. Harrington currently serves as a senior editor for Big, Red, & Shiny, an award-winning Boston-based online arts magazine.
In 2017, Carson Fox was commissioned by Boston University to create and install “Blue-Green Brainbow” in the lobby of the new Center for Integrated Life Sciences and Engineering (CILSE). Join us to hear about the piece, her process of pitching and developing this commission, and the in’s and out’s of applying for public art commissions.
Peter DiMuro will join the Arts and the Community class on September 21. Mr. DiMuro is the Executive Artistic Director of the Dance Complex in Cambridge, MA, and an internationally recognized choreographer, director, teacher, and arts practitioner.
On June 19, Brendan Ciecko will speak with students in the special topics class, Computer Technology and the Arts. Mr. Ciecko is the Founder and CEO of Cuseum, a technology company that builds tools for visitor engagement for museums and public attractions.
On June 5, George Fifield is a guest speaker for the special topics class, Computer Technology and the Arts. An early innovator in the area of digital arts, Mr. Fifield served as the Curator of New Media at the DeCordova Sculpture Park and Museum from 1993 to 2006.
Jared Bowen will speak with students in the Art World class in the fall of 2016. Mr. Bowen is the Emmy award-winning host of the weekly television series on WGBH Boston, ‘Open Studio with Jared Bowen.’
