Yue was born in Jiaxing, Zhejiang, a historical and cultural city in the southern part of China. She graduated with a B.A. in Broadcasting and Television Playwright-Director at Communication University of China. Having grasped skills in TV directing and editing, Yue was the broadcasting assistant of the CCTV-4 “China Showbiz” program.

During her undergraduate experience, she interned in Ullens Center for Contemporary Art (UCCA) as a public program assistant where she took charge of planning and organizing activities such as workshops, screenings, performances, and conversations. Yue also interned in Condé Nast China as a marketing manager where she branded SELF, China’s 10th-anniversary event.

Because of the internship in UCCA, Yue fell in love with contemporary art and seeks to find contemporary art organizations where she could combine her video and marketing skills to develop audiences for those hardworking and promising contemporary artists.

Boston University’s Arts Administration Graduate Program gives me the chance to discover and explore the art world. I not only learn practical skills of how to open or run a non-profit arts organization, but I also deepen my understanding regarding my own future endeavors. I find I am greatly inspired by my peers, most of whom are already working in the field of arts administration or studying full-time. I enjoy studying with these creative people around the world.
