Ty-Juana Flores received her undergraduate degree in Clothing & Textiles from Framingham State University. For several years following her studies, she worked as a womenswear apparel designer and a jr. account executive for showrooms and reps in New York City’s garment district. She actively worked on teams that created private label collections for Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor, Dressbarn, Macy’s, Ross Stores, and Dillard’s. Through computer aided design (CAD) she was able to create clothing and patterns while working with apparel manufacturers in both the US and Asia.

She transitioned to higher education and currently works as a manager at Berklee College of Music where she focuses on social and academic program development and design, budget management, event/operational management, and student success for the Berklee Summer Initiative, a program designed to focus and reflect on African traditions and history within music, dance, and theater. She is interested in grant writing, marketing and audience development, and managing performing and visual arts organizations.

The Arts Administration program is preparing me for the next phase in my career and I am thrilled to be a student within this program.
