Rebecca Mansfield (’21)
Rebecca Mansfield is an actor, singer, dancer, choreographer, and arts administrator from New Hampshire and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Arts Administration.
She is a recent graduate of Plymouth State University, where she earned a degree in Musical Theatre, with a minor in dance. While there, she found a home among her wonderful colleagues, professors, and the mountains.
At Plymouth, Becca was an active member of the Music, Theatre, and Dance department having performed in multiple productions in all disciplines. She was fortunate to be a member of the Plymouth State University Chamber Singers, that traveled all over the world to perform. Becca served as Assistant for the Choral Department and worked alongside Dr. Dan Perkins, which is what first sparked her interest in Arts Administration.
She worked for the New Hampshire Music Festival as a Patron Services Associate, working in the box office, with donor relations, and helping orchestra and concert operations. Becca recently accepted a position working for the Boch Center in Boston as a Theatre Services Associate.
Becca currently sings with New Hampshire Master Chorale, and choreographs and performs in productions all around New England. She looks forward to continuing making her way into the world as a performer, creator, and administrator of art.
I chose the Arts Administration program at BU because of the opportunities this degree provides. Being surrounded by so much culture and such a vast and growing art scene was important to me in pursuing this degree. The degree itself has focus in areas I am interested in, as well as opportunities to study topics involving the arts in the other countries. I am excited to learn about the subject I have chosen for my career at such a vibrant, diverse and beautiful university.
