Mengqi Zhao (’19)
Mengqi Zhao comes from Shanghai, China. She finished her undergraduate study in 2016 with a bachelor degree in German. Her undergraduate study mainly focuses on German culture, literature, linguistics, and economics. She has a good command of three languages: Mandarin, German, and English. She has also accumulated work experience as an intern at the Modern Art Museum Shanghai for exhibition maintenance and report analyses. Before that she worked in Ruihua Certified Public Accountancy and Messe München Shanghai to learn about basic accounting, auditing, and project management. Right now she is a full-time student at Boston University’s Arts Administration program where she hopes to enrich her knowledge of nonprofit management and arts education. She hopes to find a related internship during her study in the U.S. to become qualified in her field.
I believe Boston University’s Arts Administration masters program speaks to both my academic and professional interest in understanding art and culture, and my hopes to someday manage a multicultural institution. I am excited to apply my knowledge of auditing and diverse culture to the program and my career.
