Manda S. Amodio (’15)

Manda S. Amodio (’15) is an experienced fundraiser and arts administration professional with a demonstrated history of working in the cultural nonprofit industry. She is skilled in nonprofit organizations, music instruction, event management, editing, and volunteer management, graphic design, and fundraising.

Amodio came to BU shortly after earning her bachelor degree in clarinet performance from Baldwin Wallace University. When she finished her undergraduate degree she became the co-founder of her own music studio –Manda’s Music and worked as a development coordinator with the New England Historic Genealogical Society. While at BU, Amadio served on the clarinet and piano faculty at the North end Music & Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) and a year after graduation from the Arts Administration Program she had moved up to the role of Educational Program Director. After stints as the Director of Development at the United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake Country and in development roles at North Carolina Central University, Amodio is now the full-time Individual Giving & Events Manager at the New York, New York office of Lumos. When asked about her time at BU, she said:

BU provided me with the tools to thrive as an administrator in the arts and nonprofit sector. No matter what field I work in, I can use the knowledge I gained in classes to further my organization’s mission and advance in my career. My time at BU gave me the confidence to take chances and approach new challenges in an ever-changing field.
