Lishan He graduated from the Boston University Arts Administration program in January 2019. She graduated from Ming Chuan University in Taiwan with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Her undergraduate studies focused on marketing strategies and financial investment. She was also an exchange student at Université de Toulouse in France.

During her time in Taipei and France, Lishan developed a great interest in contemporary art. She worked as a customer relations intern in the Taiwan Art Gallery Association where she helped organize Art Taipei 2015, one of Asia’s longest-standing art fairs. During her senior year, Lishan also interned at Ravenel and Zende auction houses. Those experiences inspired her to become an art administrator. Lishan’s hope is to combine her knowledge in arts administration with her marketing skills to develop a career in galleries, museums, or auction houses.

This program not only provides me with the practical skills of an art administrator, but also gives me the opportunity to assess artistic resources. While taking The Art World course, I found that through our tours to the Boston Symphony and Museum of Fine Arts I was able to see how arts administrators have managed these renowned organizations. It inspired me to dream bigger and aim higher in my career goals, so that I could also share my love of art with the world.
