Dana Zareski received her B.A. in Music; minors in Arts Leadership and Mathematics from the BU College of Fine Arts.

Dana’s interests includes playing bassoon and flute. For three years, Dana worked with BU Bands. While she took pride in performing in the exclusive music major ensembles, she was more captivated with the BU Bands program that serves everyone.

As she played her heart out in Marching Band, Pep Band, and Concert Band, she felt appreciative for having an inside look into how these ensembles run. Dana discovered her interest in Arts Administration, especially concerning higher education, event planning, and community engagement.

Dana has also completed internships with the Brookline Arts Center and Elbhangfest, e. V. (an annual art and culture festival in Dresden, Germany). Most recently, she has held the role of Librarian and Assistant Manager of the Young Artists’ Wind Ensemble at the Boston University Tanglewood Institute. Dana has just accepted a job as a Faculty and Student Support Administrator in the Office of Distance Education in Metropolitan College, and she is excited to see where this role takes her.

As soon as I heard about the Arts Administration Graduate Degree at BU, I knew it was a program I wanted to be in. Having some extra space in my schedule senior year at BU, I had the opportunity to get a head start and take 3 courses, and I’m glad to be able to say that this is definitely the program for me. The faculty, course topics, and other students are amazing and I feel so privileged to be able to continue my education in this vibrant community
