Leading to this, she was the Director of Finance and Operations for Green Hedges School, the Fiscal Operations Manager for Corcoran School of the Arts and Design at The George Washington University, and the Manager of Music Department Operations, also at GW.

Prior to pursuing her master’s in Arts Administration at BU, Carey worked as an Equity Stage Manager throughout the DC region, and also as the Rentals Coordinator at the Olney Theatre Center. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Theatre from Shenandoah Conservatory in 2005.

“The Arts Administration program at BU helped me to expand my talents beyond the performance side of the arts. Further, it let me develop new interests with arts policy, community engagement, and educational programming, which has shaped my goals and the work I want to accomplish during my career.”
