Ashley Daugherty (’19)
Ashley Daugherty graduated with the Master’s degree in Arts Administration at Boston University in January 2019. She graduated from the University of Alabama in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Spanish. She also studied general business at Alabama.
During her undergraduate career, Ashley participated in various organizations throughout the school, mostly as a research assistant. This experience provided her with an analytical mind as well as an affinity for leadership and organization.
After graduation, Ashley spent six months in Northwest Florida where she volunteered at a local museum, helping to plan local events and doing daily to tasks to assist in the running of the museum. Here, she decided to pursue a degree in Arts Administration in order to protect the heritage and unique cultures of different communities.
Ashley began her career at Boston University in January 2017 and is excited to focus on fundraising and development within the Arts Administration program. She currently works as a graduate assistant for the program director, Lanfranco Aceti, as an editorial and promotional assistant.
The Arts Administration program here at BU allows me to further my administrative experience into a career that merges with my appreciation for fine arts. The focus on professionalism and networking is extremely helpful for me as someone just officially entering the art world.
