Almudena Campos (’21)
Almudena is a passionate art lover who desired to cultivate a career in arts management. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Arts and Dance from the Rey Juan Carlos University, Spain. She also has academic training in Business Administration. She is currently pursuing the M.S. in Arts Administration as a Fulbright Scholar.
Before coming to Boston University, she worked at the Russian Masters Ballet where she organized dance courses for students from more than 30 countries in both Spain and Russia. She also hosted a Stars Gala with principal dancers from the main European theaters and many other activities while working with Russian Masers Ballet. She was a Production Assistant in the 26th edition of a choreographic Flamenco contest in Spain. Later on, she was promoted to become a Production Manager for the 27th and 28th editions. She held an internship position at the 31st Certamen Coreográfico in Madrid, working back with them as Production Assistant for the 32nd edition. She worked as a Manager Assistant Intern for the World Dance Fair during her last year of undergraduate studies.
She is a strong advocate for the power of the arts to bridge between countries and cultures that can create a great and peaceful international cohesion. With that in mind, she is directed towards the development and production of international artistic projects while bringing dance closer to the Spanish audience.
The Arts Administration program at BU offers great course selection, and the international approach of the program fits my career goals. It has highly qualified professors that are experienced professionals in vital arts organizations. The resources and opportunities that BU provides, combined with living in a vibrant and arts advocate city like Boston, make the program a full and inspiring experience.
