Allyson Frick (’17)
Allyson is in her second year at Boston University. Growing up, she found her home on the stage and received a B.A. in Theatre from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. She has taught English as a foreign language in Prague, Czech Republic, and in South Korea. Upon her return to the States, she served as an administrator in Philadelphia at a large corporation, but slowly found her way back into the arts world. She has performed in Philadelphia and South Central Pennsylvania. Her most rewarding and exciting experience was the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire’s outdoor summer festival and holiday show in their 200-year-old mansion. Allyson wanted to combine her administrative, theatre, and educational experiences, and the Arts Administration program at Boston University was the perfect fit. Currently, she works as the Business Manager at the Boston Children’s Chorus, where she maintains the daily operations and workflow of the financial office and human resources department, as well as assisting with events and special projects.
The program has allowed me to combine my passions and experiences into a sustainable administrative career. BU has given me the tools to further my career to become an emerging leader in the Greater Boston area. I love that the program recognizes me as an artist as well as an administrator.
