Adrienne Lotoski (’17)
Adrienne is an Associate Director for Stewardship & Donor Relations for Boston University’s Development and Alumni Relations. She provides stewardship programs for top donors through communications and events. Her previous experience includes WBUR-FM, WCVB-TV, The Arbitron Company, and BBDO. She received Nielsen’s “Star Quality Award,” TVB’s “Excellence in Research Award,” Hearst “Eagle Award,” and a Citation from the Media Rating Council for her research and contribution to the media industry.
While in the Arts Administration program, Adrienne created programs for nonprofit institutions including a million dollar grant. During the “Grant Writing for Nonprofit Organizations” class, she spent the semester researching and writing a grant for WBUR’s website vertical, The ARTery. Working with WBUR’s senior management, the Barr Foundation awarded a $1 million grant for arts and culture coverage in the greater Boston region. She also worked as an intern with the MoCC’s Director on grant writing for a new visual art work, “Two Steps Forward, One Step Back.”
Adrienne focused her class long-term projects on New England-based institutions. Two of the projects in the class, “Educational Programming in Cultural Institutions” are now under consideration at two museums. Her group presented the education program, “Inside the Studio,” an artist-in-residency program, created specifically for the Currier Museum of Art. The other project, the creation of a curriculum and study guide about the American artist, Winslow Homer, was presented to the Portland Museum of Art’s education department. The guide is going to be incorporated into docent training and gallery workshops. One other group project that she contributed to was a consulting project for “Lost Nation Theater’s” education program in Montpelier, Vermont.
“The program contributes to students not only with the theoretical, but the practical knowledge of arts administration and non-profit management. Every student is encouraged to independently interact with a variety of organizations while integrating their particular experience and interests, to produce original work that immediately contributes to the arts community.”
