Claudia is currently the Education Director at the New Art Center, a nonprofit arts organization that supports the development of visual artists and cultivates a community that appreciates art. Claudia is responsible for the development and implementation of 85 visual art programs for students of all ages and levels. This job allows her to interact with hundreds of professional emerging and well-established visual artists and curators. Claudia is a Graduate Assistant of Professor, and BU Arts Administrator Director, Lanfranco Aceti.

Working in arts and culture nonprofit organizations for more than fifteen years, Claudia’s work has been focused on community development through the arts. She has led groups of students on numerous educational excursions, including to Israel, Argentina, and Brazil, with focus on leadership development, career exploration and volunteer programs working with immigrant refugees, underprivileged communities, education policy, informal and art education, and global cultural awareness.

She lived in Israel and Greece where she worked at archaeological sites and the National Archaeological Museum. In Israel, Claudia worked in communal settlements, teaching art to Israelis, new immigrants and Israeli Arab communities. She has a background in dance, painting, art history, art education and she holds a B.A. in Physical Education and Wellness, plus Certificates in Art History from Brazil.
