Job: Marketing Coordinator

The Egg seeks a full-time Marketing Coordinator to join our team. Reporting directly to the Marketing Director, you will provide essential support for event marketing campaigns, social media, administrative logistics, and community engagement.
Following a transformative six-month renovation in 2025, 2026 marks a pivotal milestone as we work to “Hatch The Egg” with bold new programs and initiatives. We are also debuting a comprehensive rebrand, introducing refined brand guidelines and a revitalized aesthetic. This role joins our marketing department at an inflection point, offering a unique opportunity to contribute fresh ideas and help shape our next chapter of growth.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Supervisor: Marketing Director
Status: Full-time, non-exempt position
Salary: $50,000 – $55,000
Ideal Start Date: June 2026
RESPONSIBILITIES
In direct collaboration with the Marketing Director:
- Maintain marketing administrative calendars and internal organizational tools.
- Creative content creation & managing social media accounts (Facebook and Instagram, potentially TikTok), including scheduling, posting, and on-platform engagement.
- Develop email marketing campaigns, including weekly newsletters, member presales, targeted outreach, and post-show follow-ups.
- Track press hits and maintain updated media lists.
- Build and update event pages in WordPress.
- Pick up marketing materials from local vendors.
- Tabling at community events.
- Streamline show announcement logistics.
- Support in-person events through social media content capture and tabling.
- Lead regional street teams for flyering and grassroots outreach.
QUALITIES DESIRED
- Experience in marketing, specifically within music or live events.
- Experience in social media management.
- A creative thinker with a good sense of design.
- Strong administrative and organization skills; the ability to balance the logic of a spreadsheet with the flair of a creative campaign.
- A keen eye for social media best practices; you can easily move between professional communication and casual, engaging, and humorous social content.
- Technical proficiency (Google Suite, WordPress, Canva, Meta Ads Manager) with the ability to quickly learn new platforms as the organization evolves.
- A natural “people person” who enjoys writing, building relationships, and acting as an enthusiastic brand ambassador for everything happening at The Egg.
SCHEDULE & BENEFITS
This is a full time position with full benefits including health insurance and pension options. Will include nights and weekends. This role offers the ability to work from home when not needed on site. This is a salaried, non-exempt position eligible for overtime.

ABOUT THE EGG
The Egg is a performing arts center located in Albany, NY’s Empire State Plaza. An unmistakable feature of the capital city’s skyline, the venue houses two theatres – the Kitty Carlisle Hart Theatre (980), and the Lewis A. Swyer Theatre (440) – encased in a domed, egg-like concrete structure that took 12 years to construct and was completed in 1978. The Egg presents music, art, theatre, comedy, dance and family entertainment year-round.
The Egg itself is owned by the State of New York and managed by the not-for-profit Nelson A. Rockefeller Empire State Plaza Performing Arts Center Corporation.
