Samantha Lovewell (’19)
Samantha Lovewell is a Customer Success Leader at OpenGov, where she leads the West Region from San Francisco, managing a team of Customer Success Managers who partner with public sector organizations to drive meaningful outcomes through technology. She focuses on helping agencies modernize operations and deliver measurable impact for the communities they serve.
Prior to her work in gov tech, Samantha built her career in the public and nonprofit sectors, with experience in local government, public education, and as a fundraiser and administrator for organizations including Boston Children’s Chorus, New England Conservatory, and The Winsor School. She later transitioned into SaaS as an Account Manager at Virtuous, supporting nonprofits in growing generosity through responsive fundraising strategies and technology.
She credits her foundation in the arts and education, along with Boston University’s Arts Administration program, for shaping her customer-centric, mission-driven leadership. Her first course on technology in the arts explored CRM platforms and emerging industry trends, foreshadowing her career path.
Samantha holds a Master of Science in Arts Administration, a Graduate Certificate in Fundraising Management, and a Paralegal Certificate from Boston University, as well as a Bachelor of Music (Voice) with a minor in Theater Arts from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
