PT Internship: Alumni Cultivation

Conservatory Lab Foundation seeks a detail-oriented, energetic candidate to serve as our Alumni Cultivation Intern for the Spring Semester.

Conservatory Lab Charter School is a K1-8 public charter school that empowers students to be scholars, artists, and leaders of their own learning. Through the joy and discipline of daily musical engagement, experiential learning, and service to the community, students learn to effect changes as creative and active citizens. Starting in first grade, every single student at Conservatory Lab plays a musical instrument every single day. Our El Sistema music program’s equity-focused and ensemble-based approach is supported by an Exploratory Learning curriculum that emphasizes hands-on learning with real world impact across all subjects.

To better understand the long-term impact of the work we do, Conservatory Lab is building a comprehensive, well-connected Alumni network. We hope to develop a robust database of students’ high school and college experiences and to begin hosting regular events for alumni to attend throughout the year.

As we develop this arm of our Foundation work, we are seeking a focused team member to own three projects that will launch our Alumni Stewardship:

– Accumulate and organize an Alumni database
– Improve and assist the annual un-enrollment process for outgoing students
– Plan one Alumni event for the Spring

The Alumni Cultivation Intern will work closely with the Foundation Manager and alongside the Foundation Coordinator, Foundation Executive Director, and school staff to accomplish these goals. The intern will spend limited time interacting with current students and dedicate the majority of their time to developing new strategies for our Foundation to build and enrich relationships with alumni of Conservatory Lab.
