Job: Executive Director
Coro Allegro, a chorus for the LGBTQ+ community and friends, seeks an Executive Director responsible for overseeing operations and administrative functions of the organization. The Executive Director position offers the successful candidate an opportunity to work with a chorus of the highest artistic quality, and to promote a message of affirmation at a critical moment for LGBTQ+ rights.
Key duties include management of day-to-day operations of the organization (primarily administrative with financial oversight), concert marketing and production, ambassadorship and outreach to outside organizations, and support for advancement and stewardship work. The position reports to the Board of Directors and works closely with the Bookkeeper, concert Production Manager and the Artistic Director.
Although hours are flexible, they must include all dress rehearsals, performances and events. Coro Allegro usually offers three performances per season (typically in November, March, and May) on Sunday afternoons, with dress rehearsals the preceding Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings. Other events include fundraising events, events for donors, non-subscription series concerts by invitation, etc.

Qualifications
- A commitment to Coro Allegro’s mission as a thriving and vocal LGBTQ+ and allied arts organization
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- Excellent leadership, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience managing and planning budgets
- Experience planning, marketing and producing performances or events, including media and community outreach, venue coordination, ticketing and day-of-tasks in order to supervise and advise the Production Manager
- Technology skills, ideally including MS Office, Google Workspace, experience with database management desired
- Experience in the field of arts nonprofits, preferably in the Boston area
- Experience in organizational leadership and networking
- Experience with marketing and familiarity with social media platforms
- Ability to interface with other arts administrators in the city
- Ability to work in our Boston office near the Copley Square MBTA stop at least once a week with an option to work remotely the rest of the time

Salary Range
$40,000-55,000 per year, about 30 hours per week ($25-$35/hour)
