PT Job: Summit Assistant
Early Music America (EMA) is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented assistant to support the 2023 EMA Summit in Boston, MA. The assistant will be responsible for a range of tasks, including administrative support, event planning, and logistical coordination. Reports to EMA Programs Director David Simmons Wood.
JOB TYPE: Temporary contract position through October 2023.
SALARY: $20 per hour
TIME COMMITMENT: Approximately 5 hours per week; Approximately 40 hours from October 23-26 during the 2023 EMA Summit.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with administrative tasks such as answering emails, drafting documents, and managing schedules.
- Coordinate logistics for the 2023 EMA Summit (October 24-26), including venue setup, vendor coordination, and participant registration.
- Collaborate with the EMA staff to develop and implement event marketing strategies.
- Conduct research on early music industry trends and potential event sponsors, participants, and exhibitors.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Reside in Boston, MA
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Familiarity with early-music field and event management preferred, but not required
