Ceramics Holiday Show and Sale

The Ceramics Program, Office for the Arts at Harvard will present its annual Holiday Show and Sale December 6-9, 2018 in its state-of-the art facility at 224 Western Avenue, Allston. 

More than 60 artists from the program present an extraordinary selection of ceramic work in this annual exhibition. From functional dinnerware to sculptural masterpieces, this popular exhibition has something for everyone and attracts several thousand visitors each year.

WHERE

Gallery 224 (224 Western Avenue, Allston, MA), the Ceramics Program’s dedicated exhibition space, will showcase works by the program’s two Artists-In-Residence, Natalia Arbelaez and Colby Charpentier. New this year, wheel throwing and hand building demonstrations by exhibiting artists provide opportunities for the public to view the techniques and skills represented by the work on display throughout the weekend. An entire wall of the gallery will feature a large display of unique mugs made by each exhibiting artist, with all proceeds from these mug sales going to support the studio.

WHEN

The Ceramics Program Show and Sale runs concurrently with the Harvard Ed Portal’s second annual Allston-Brighton Winter Market next door, making 224 Western Avenue in Allston a perfect holiday shopping destination December 6-9.

ABOUT

Nearing its 50th anniversary, the Ceramics Program, Office for the Arts at Harvard provides a creative studio and laboratory study environment for Harvard students, staff, and faculty, as well as designers, artists, scholars, and scientists from the greater Boston, national and international arenas. Courses, workshops, master classes and special events are offered in the program’s 15,000-square-foot studio at 224 Western Avenue, Allston.
