Boston University’s Dance Theatre Group presents MOTION ART, an evening of art mediums on Thursday, March 29, 2018 from 8:00- 9:00 pm. This is a collaborative performance of dancers, singers, artists, and musicians that highlights the power of overlapping forms of art. Highlighting the talent and creativity of BU students, MOTION ART will include:

• Performances from Boston University’s Dance Theatre Group, including pieces from their fall show, Origins 2017, and a site-specific piece choreographed by guest artist Peter DiMuro
• Performances from student dance groups BU Bhangra, BU on Tap, and Afrithyms
• An a cappella performance from Boston University’s Chordially Yours
• A structured improvisation piece arranged by Liz Roncka and performed by the PDP Movement Improvisation class

MOTION ART will be presented at the 808 Gallery, located at 808 Commonwealth Avenue. It is presented in cooperation with BU Dance Program and the BU Arts Initiative, and is supported in part by the “Arts Grant from the BU Arts Initiative- Office of the Provost.” This event is also partially funded by the Undergraduate Student Fee. Admission to MOTION ART is free and open to the public.
