Call for Volunteers
As part of the Alliance for the Arts in Research Universities (a2ru) 5th Annual Conference, academics and practitioners from across the country will gather to map, envision, and advance the national discourse around Creative Placemaking for research institutions and their communities.
Volunteers are needed to document the pre-conference day on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 by blogging and creating social media blasts, as well as welcoming and providing direction and assistance for guests. The pre-conference will take place in the Metcalf Trustee Center at Boston University on the 9th floor of 1 Silber Way, Boston, from 10 am to 5 pm. Volunteers will be needed from 9 am to 6 pm. You can volunteer for one hour, or the whole day. Lunch and/or snacks will be provided.
Volunteers are also needed for the full conference to be held at North Eastern University on November 2, 3, and 4. The 2017 theme, Arts in the Public Sphere: Civility, Advocacy, and Engagement, will use the city of Boston as a starting point for discussion and engagement surrounding creative placemaking.
