Guest Speaker: Stephanie Berkowitz
The Arts Administration program is proud to welcome Stephanie Berkowitz as a guest speaker in Financial Management. Stephanie spoke with the class on managing an organizational budgets, how to deal with issues such as when a state line item is cut, how to budget for youth salaries, and much more.
Stephanie Berkowitz is director of external relations and clerk at the Center for Teen Empowerment, a nonprofit organization that employs low-income, urban youth as community organizers in Boston and Somerville, MA and Rochester, NY. Prior to joining Teen Empowerment in 2002, Stephanie worked in development and communications for the Metropolitan Boston Housing Partnership and the Higher Education Information Center. She also served as chair of the Young Adult Planning Committee at Combined Jewish Philanthropies and is an active volunteer for several community organizations. She holds a bachelor of science in mass communication and public policy from Boston University.
