Josh Robinson and colleagues awarded a Leakey Foundation Grant
Joshua Robbinson and his colleagues from Argentine, led by Nelson Novo of the Instituto Patagónico de Geología y Paleontología, have received funding from the Leakey Foundation for our project: The youngest and possibly the last non-human primates inhabiting Patagonia, and their associated fauna. This project will include fieldwork at the Middle Miocene localities of Cañadón del Tordillo and Cerro Castillo in Patagonia in search of fossil primates and stable isotope analysis of those primates and associated fauna for reconstructing paleoecology and paleodiets. While not archaeology, I am excited to support and contribute to in-country research by Argentine scholars. Congratulations, Josh!
