Ted Fioraliso

Ted Fioraliso (COM’ 07) is thrilled to join the Boston University Alumni Council after more than two years as co-chair of the Washington, D.C. Alumni Network.

For nearly a decade, Ted has mentored students who attend the BU D.C. Study Abroad program. He has also volunteered in the COM Mentor Program.

While a student at BU, Ted lived on the third floor of COM. He helped relaunch a newsmagazine on BUTV10 called “Inside Boston” and had his own radio show on WTBU every semester. He was honored to be a teaching assistant for the late Professor Jim Thistle. He was also an active member of the Catholic Center.

Following graduation, Ted became a broadcast journalist. He worked at WENY-TV in Elmira, N.Y., WHEC-TV in Rochester, N.Y., Fox News Channel in New York City, and Lilly Broadcasting and Gray Television in Washington, D.C. He covered four presidential elections and interviewed Vice President Kamala Harris and dozens of cabinet secretaries in the Obama, Trump, and Biden administrations.

After 15 years in broadcasting, Ted made the move to corporate communications. Since 2023, he has served as Vice President of Content and Strategy at the American Hotel & Lodging Association.

Ted is a native of Long Island, N.Y., and is a proud Eagle Scout.
