Adrienne Beth Lenhoff, (COM’91) [Par CAS’25, COM’25, CGS’23]

Member, BU Alumni Council

Adrienne Lenhoff

Adrienne founded her first company and conducted her first PR, influencer, and social media campaigns during her freshman year at Boston University, in the days of dial-up modems and “you’ve got mail”.

The business she founded while at BU led to her spending a dozen years working on the business side of the music and film industry: negotiating marketing, joint venture, distribution, licensing, merchandising, sponsorship, publishing, appearance and artist agreements; concert and tour promotion; managing North American operations for a prestigious UK label; co-founding a record label; product marketing; influencer programs and partnerships with some of the world’s largest film and music companies.

In 2001, Adrienne founded the award-winning marketing communications firm, Shazaaam!, which was the Detroit partner for the public relations consortium, Pinnacle Worldwide. In 2007, Adrienne launched the digital PR agency, Buzzphoria, which specializes in creating and activating high-profile, multi-channel campaigns that leverage strategy, storytelling, publicity, media relations, social media, influencer engagement, community building, cause marketing, and experiential marketing.

Adrienne’s clients have included National Beverage and its brands LaCroix, RipIt Energy, Shasta, Everfresh Juice, St. Nick’s and Faygo; HoneyBaked Ham; Stash Tea; Bacardi; Second Nature; Kar’s Nuts; Papa John’s; Clearly Canadian; Play It Again Sports; Renaissance Hotels; Urban Science; Constellium; American Axle; AM General; Digital Asset Research, and dozens of other regionally, nationally and internationally beloved brands.

Adrienne received her undergraduate degree from Boston University, a certificate in Women’s Entrepreneurship from Cornell University, and completed her Master’s coursework at New York University.

She is the proud mom of 2025 BU graduate, Hannah Wise. Adrienne lives in Metro Detroit with her partner Steve, three dogs, and two cats.
