Dr. Pincus is an Associate Professor of Psychological and Brain Sciences and the Director of Research for the Child and Adolescent Fear and Anxiety Treatment Program at BU’s Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders. Her primary research interests include the assessment and treatment of children’s fears and anxieties, and she is especially interested in developing new treatments for young children with anxiety disorders.
Anxiety disorders occur in one in eight children and adolescents, and are one of the most impairing and prevalent problems faced by both youth and adults today. Dr. Donna Pincus will discuss state of the art strategies for identifying, preventing, and treating anxiety, and will offer practical tools for promoting resilience in youth so that they can lead happier and healthier lives.
