Peer Mentors and Student Life
A peer mentor offers guidance and a student perspective.
Transition to BU (TTBU) is a peer mentoring program that was designed by transfer students, for transfer students. To request a TTBU peer mentor, email email@example.com.
Your TTBU peer mentor can help you figure out where to eat, how to get your books, where to find your academic advisor, how to join a club, and more.
TTBU also holds events to help transfer students make connections with each other and with continuing students. They can help you start to build your community at BU.
You can connect with TTBU through email, Facebook, and Instagram.
Some schools and even some majors also have peer mentoring programs for transfer students. Ask your academic advisor or stop by your school’s advising or student services office to learn about school-based opportunities.
TTBU mentors say the following resources are especially helpful as you’re getting started at BU:
- Academic Advising Contacts for Transfer Students
- Educational Resource Center (ERC)
- Disability and Access Services
HOUSING & RESIDENCE LIFE
TUITION & FINANCIAL AID
- Financial Assistance Office
- Student Accounting Services
- University Service Center (USC)
- Student Employment and Quickie Job Listings
