BU Law can be easily reached by air, bus, train, car or public transportation. The law school complex, which is comprised of the Sumner M. Redstone Building and BU Law tower, is situated between Bay State Road and the BU School of Theology Building on Commonwealth Avenue. The address of the law school is 765 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston, MA 02215.

Driving

From South or West: Take the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) East to Exit 18, Allston/ Cambridge. Exit left. Follow signs to Cambridge to the second set of lights. Turn right at the lights; this is Soldiers Field Road/Storrow Drive. Exit Storrow Drive at the Kenmore exit.

From Southeast: Take I-93/Route 3 (Southeast Expressway) North to Boston. Exit onto Storrow Drive (Exit 26). Continue on Storrow Drive to the Kenmore exit.

From North: Take I-93 or Route 1 South to Boston. Exit onto Storrow Drive (Exit 26). Continue on Storrow Drive to the Kenmore exit.

From the North Shore/Logan Airport: Take Route 1-A through the Sumner Tunnel. Follow signs onto the Expressway North. Take the Back Bay/Storrow Drive exit (Exit 26), and follow signs onto Storrow Drive. Continue on Storrow Drive to the Kenmore exit.

By Air

Logan International Airport is located 5 miles east of downtown Boston. It is served by more than forty major airlines, both domestic and international. Free shuttle buses provide service between the airport terminals and the local subway system. Take the airport shuttle to the Airport MBTA subway station (Blue Line).

By Bus

Bus service to Boston – including major bus lines such as Greyhound and Peter Pan – is provided through the South Station Bus Terminal. After arriving at the bus terminals, follow the signs leading from the bus terminal to the South Station MBTA subway station (Red Line).

By Train

From the South: Take the Amtrak Rail Service to South Station. From South Station, follow the signs leading from the Amtrak station to the South Station MBTA subway station (Red Line).

From the North: Take the Amtrak Rail Service to North Station. Follow the signs to the North Station MBTA subway station (Green Line).

By Commuter Rail

From the South or West: Take the MBTA Commuter Rail line to South Station, then follow the signs to the South Station subway station (Red Line).

From the North: Take the MBTA Commuter Rail line to North Station. Follow the signs to the North Station subway station (Green Line).

Public Transportation

Subway

The MBTA Green Line “B” train passes right through the Boston University Charles River campus on Commonwealth Avenue. Get off at the Boston University (BU) Central stop and cross the street. The School of Law is located behind the School of Theology and to the left of Marsh Chapel.

From the Blue Line: Go to Government Center and transfer to the Green Line “B” train west/outbound.

From the Red Line: Go to Park Street and transfer to the Green Line “B” train west/outbound.

From the Orange Line: Go to Government Center and transfer to the Green Line “B” train west/outbound.

Bus

The MBTA #57 bus runs along Commonwealth Avenue. If you are traveling eastbound, exit at the intersection of Commonwealth Avenue and St. Mary’s Street and cross the street. If you are traveling westbound, exit at Marsh Chapel. The School of Law is located behind the School of Theology and to the left of Marsh Chapel.

Parking

There are a limited number of metered parking spots along Bay State Road and Commonwealth Avenue. You can also pay to park in the Granby Street N Lot. Please view parking map.
