Living in Boston as a Law Student

Convenient location near public transportation.

The vast resources of Boston are right at our doorstep. BU is centrally located in the city with easy access to public transportation just steps from our front door and only a few subway stops from downtown. Most of our students choose to live in Boston, Brookline, Cambridge and Somerville, neighborhoods that are easily accessible to the law school via public transportation.

A hub of just about everything.

Because this is a major center for law, business, education, medicine, technology, and government, you’ll find an exceptional amount of opportunities to build your professional network and gain hands-on legal experience. The region also ranks as a top hub of high-tech innovation and entrepreneurship. BU Law students enjoy free membership to the Boston Bar Association and an extensive network of BU Law alumni is in the area ready to help you out.
