Profile
Andrew received his BA in chemistry from the University of Buffalo, and his MDiv from Boston University School of Theology. Andrew Tripp is a post-exam doctoral student working on a dissertation investigating how congregations in affluent urban neighborhoods care for the poor in their city. His larger area of scholarly interest is investigating how communities live out their shared stories, and how stories concretely shape the identities and practices of actual communities. Andrew engages with pop culture stories, specifically comic books, graphic novels, and the growing canon of zombie literature as sources of communal stories for civic religion as well as how Christian communities live out explicitly Christian narratives.
