855 Commonwealth Avenue

A recent makeover of 855 Commonwealth Avenue replaced the street-level concrete façade with arched windows, restored the building’s façade, renovated select spaces on the 1st floor including the Stone Gallery and movement studio, and created a new student lounge. The makeover also provided other improvements to the building including renovated restrooms throughout the building (including additional single stall all-gender restrooms) and miscellaneous building wide improvements to enhance accessibility for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The renovations allow those passing by on Commonwealth Avenue to see inside bringing vitality to the street while promoting an openness for the College of Fine Arts to better engage with the community.
