The Department of World Languages & Literatures is a vibrant community of scholars and students who teach, research, and write about literature and film in ten languages. Our students learn to rediscover the world in other languages, to write and think clearly, to read widely and closely, and to understand and appreciate cultural differences.
Help us celebrate WLL’s upcoming twentieth anniversary with a donation to support our students, including undergrads and graduate students in our MFA in Literary Translation. Your gift will help us fund our student-edited journal Alexandria, translation prizes, language study awards, summer internships and travel, cultural events for our language programs, conference attendance, and programs like our annual “Big Fat Books” reading group and symposium–a spring event that brings faculty, students, and the wider Boston community together to read and discuss great works of world literature.
