Dr. Joy Xing-yu Meng has been teaching Chinese at all levels, Chinese classical literature and arts at universities across China and the US since 2010. She has been an Associate Professor in Chinese Literature at Guangzhou Medical University in Guangdong, China, and a Visiting Professor at Bryant University in Rhode Island, US. Her academic interests include second language acquisition, overseas Chinese literature, digital literature and arts, classical Chinese arts and martial arts. Her research articles have been published in a number of academic journals. Her publications include academic books, fictions, bilingual picture books, and edited bilingual books. Currently, she is working on a fiction manuscript: a funny light-hearted coming-of-age story happened alone the opening of China era: 1979-2009. She is also the founder of the community impact program “Mindful Living”.
