Galina Yermolenko is Associate Professor of English at DeSales University. Her research focuses on early modern cultural relations between Europe and the Mediterranean. Her current book project is Early Modern Russian Pilgrims in the Holy Land. Recent publications include Roxolana in European History, Literature, and Culture (Ashgate, 2010); chapters in Through the Eyes of the Beholder: The Holy Land 1517-1714 (Brill, 2013) and Mediterranean Identities in the Premodern Era (Ashgate, 2014); and articles in Christian-Muslim Relations (Brill, 2015 and 2016).
