November Chinese Events Recap
The Chinese program organized the last cross-cultural event on December 1st, 2022. The event focused on six mythology stories in ancient China, including how the world is established and how humans are created. These stories not only show the Chinese ancestors’ imagination but also give insights into cultural values. At the end of the event, our Chair of Department Professor Catherine Yeh had a conversation with the students. They used the phrases learned from the event to share their thoughts and also made connections with other culture heroes such as Achilles and Beowulf.
Chinese FLTA Yuan-Jung Chan and Chinese Language Program Coordinator Shutan Dong organized the event. More than 50 students attended and everyone enjoyed the stories. Thank you all for coming!
