BU Wheelock College for Education & Human Development and Bahrain Teachers College have partnered to offer BU Wheelock’s Master of Education (EdM) in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies (PreK–12) and Master of Education (EdM) in Curriculum & Teaching to educators and school leaders in Bahrain.  This academic partnership program provides Bahraini teachers with affordable online access to BU’s graduate education and professional development.

Enrollment Benefits

Bahrain Teachers College partner students receive a 33% scholarship for both the EdM in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies (PreK–12) and the EdM in Curriculum & Teaching.

Application & Admissions Requirements

To participate in the BU Wheelock–Bahrain Teachers College partnership, you must apply to and be accepted into either the EdM in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies (PreK–12) or the EdM in Curriculum & Teaching.

  • To begin the EdM in Curriculum & Teaching in fall 2025, start your application now. The EdM in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies (PreK–12) will next be available in fall 2026.
  • Prospective students must submit at least one letter of recommendation.
  • As a Bahrain partner student, you are not required to submit an equity, diversity & inclusion (EDI) statement. This application requirement is waived for you.
  • You are also eligible for an application fee waiver. Once you start your application, email the Graduate Admissions Office at whegrad@bu.edu with your CAS ID number, which you’ll find in the top right-hand corner of your application, and they will send you information about the application fee waiver. Do not submit an application until you have received an application fee waiver.
