John Njikem is a doctoral student in special education at Boston University Wheelock College of Education. Njikem’s research focuses on the use evidence-based classroom interventions such as computer-assisted instruction and explicit/systematic instruction for supporting students with specific learning disabilities in elementary schools.
As a master’s student at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden, Njikem completed a project which focused on investigating Swedish teachers’ use of assistive technology to teach children with learning disabilities in elementary classrooms. Njikem is an inclusive classroom resource teacher and the founder of “Education for All-Cameroon,” an outreach program that promotes equal educational opportunities for children with disabilities.
