Maria Pokrovskaya

Maria Pokrovskaya is a doctoral student in higher education leadership at Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development. Maria’s research is dedicated to bridging global talent and higher education, designing strategies that scale innovative programs, drive educational equity, and harness global creative economies to strengthen regional workforce development. Her work combines case studies, interviews with international leaders, and policy analysis to create actionable insights. Her career has spanned Russia, UK, Spain, US, and Canada.

As founder and leader of the Global Talent Foundation and an EdTech company, Maria has empowered over 3,000 creative professionals to expand careers and scale businesses internationally. She has launched university startup centers, spearheaded innovation in higher education in creative industries, and shaped policies for scaling global talent programs with measurable impact. Maria has presented at global conferences and published thought leadership on global talent migration and education innovation.
