2024 BU Wheelock Convocation
The BU Wheelock community gathered to celebrate the graduation of the 2024 class of undergraduates and graduate students. Students, families, faculty, staff, and others attended several events held over Boston University’s 2024 Commencement Weekend, which took place May 16–19. These events included a graduate student celebration and an undergraduate brunch.
The BU Wheelock convocation ceremony honoring the graduation of the college’s approximately 60 undergraduate and 260 graduate students, was held Saturday, May 18. This event included the graduation of 24 students who were the first to receive their master’s degree through the BU Wheelock-Bahrain Teachers College partnership.
Dean David Chard presided over his final convocation as dean of BU Wheelock before he steps down from his role at the end of June. Poet Jarvis Subia delivered the opening invocation, and Shannon Fairley-Pittman (Wheelock’08) also addressed the students. Hana DeGuzman (Wheelock’24) was this year’s student speaker.
